RUNSHAW COLLEGE - LEYLAND

The Buttermere building at Runshaw College was created as part of the levelling up education fund, and is home to the Professional Engineering School.  With a footprint of 1000m2, Buttermere building houses state-of-the-art technology and 12 new rooms to help Runshaw College provide more facilities to their campus.

The building exudes a stunning aesthetic, using three tones of cladding in white, grey, and stone.  We also installed a bright red brise solieil above the main entrance in the student courtyard to act as a modern centrepiece and provide a pop of colour, reminiscent of tech companies such as Google.

The roof was constructed using Bauder K4E roofing membrane with underlay and a vapour barrier.  Both roof and wall cladding feature non-combustible insulation that achieves current U Value regulations for energy efficiency.
